Major Star Wars releases in September – Andor prequel, a book of insults, and the first canon horror
September is stacking up to be a big month for Star Wars fans: Disney+ gets a new Mandalorian special, bookstores receive a direct prequel novel to Andor, and comic adaptations for both Kylo Ren and Boba Fett continue their runs.
Hiding from the Dark – September 1
This marks the franchise first canon novel officially billed as horror. Kiersten White middle grade book follows a girl named Bia as she flees Imperial forces on Coruscant, searching for her mother while a terrifying dark figure hunts her down.
LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian – September 2
Din Djarin and Grogu throw a party with their friends, but pirates threaten to crash the celebration. Gavin Hammon takes over the voice role from Pedro Pascal, while Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan), Giancarlo Esposito (Gideon), Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka), and others reprise their parts.
Star Wars: Poe Dameron Omnibus – September 8
This hardcover omnibus collects the entire 2016 Marvel comic series starring Poe Dameron and Black Squadron as they run secret Resistance missions in the lead-up to The Force Awakens.
The Book of Boba Fett #1 – September 9
