About ThatFeed

Effective date: July 10, 2026

1. About ThatFeed

ThatFeed (“ThatFeed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at thatfeed.com, including its articles, images, account features, commenting systems, messaging tools, and other services made available through the website (collectively, the “Service”).

ThatFeed is a news and information website primarily covering weather, science, nature, and related subjects for a global audience.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, posting a comment, uploading an image, or sending a message through the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, you must not use the Service.

2. Related policies

Your use of the Service is also subject to the following policies:

These policies are incorporated into these Terms by reference where applicable.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Community Guidelines concerning user conduct, these Terms will control unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Eligibility and younger users

ThatFeed’s publicly available news content may be read by users under the age of 18.

To create an account or use interactive features, you must be legally permitted to do so under the laws that apply to you.

If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use account, commenting, uploading, or messaging features only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where such permission is required.

By permitting a minor to use the Service, the minor’s parent or legal guardian agrees to supervise the minor’s use of the Service and accepts responsibility for that use to the extent permitted by law.

You must not create an account if you are below the minimum age at which you may lawfully consent to the processing of your personal information in your country, unless valid consent or authorisation has been provided by a parent or legal guardian in accordance with applicable law.

4. Accounts

Certain features of the Service may require an account.

When creating or maintaining an account, you agree to:

  • provide information that is accurate and not misleading;

  • keep your account information reasonably current;

  • maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;

  • use only an account that belongs to you;

  • not impersonate another person or organisation;

  • promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation; and

  • accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent that the activity resulted from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

You must not sell, transfer, license, or otherwise provide your account to another person without our permission.

We may require you to change a username or other profile information if it violates these Terms, infringes another person’s rights, creates a security risk, or may mislead other users.

5. Permitted use of the Service

Subject to these Terms, ThatFeed grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the Service for lawful personal and informational purposes.

You may:

  • read and share links to ThatFeed articles;

  • quote limited portions of ThatFeed content with clear and appropriate attribution;

  • use features such as comments and messaging in accordance with these Terms and the Community Guidelines; and

  • download material where ThatFeed expressly provides a download function or otherwise gives permission.

Any quotation must:

  • be limited to the amount reasonably necessary for commentary, reporting, criticism, discussion, or reference;

  • identify ThatFeed as the source;

  • include a link to the original page where reasonably possible;

  • not misrepresent the meaning or context of the quoted material; and

  • comply with applicable copyright and quotation laws.

This permission does not permit the republication of complete articles, substantial portions of articles, complete image galleries, databases, or systematic collections of ThatFeed content.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Service to:

  • violate any applicable law or regulation;

  • infringe another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other legal rights;

  • impersonate another person or falsely claim an affiliation;

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, exploit, or abuse another person;

  • distribute spam, scams, deceptive promotions, or unsolicited commercial communications;

  • transmit malware, viruses, malicious code, or other harmful technology;

  • interfere with the security, availability, integrity, or proper operation of the Service;

  • gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to an account, system, server, or network;

  • bypass access restrictions, rate limits, robots directives, authentication measures, or other technical controls;

  • collect personal information about other users without a lawful basis and their appropriate consent;

  • use private messages for harassment, fraud, unlawful solicitation, or the distribution of prohibited material;

  • manipulate engagement, account activity, comments, votes, or other website metrics;

  • use the Service in a way that places an unreasonable burden on its infrastructure; or

  • encourage, assist, or enable another person to do any of the above.

7. Automated access, scraping, data mining, and artificial intelligence

Except where ThatFeed has expressly agreed otherwise in writing, you must not use automated means to access, collect, reproduce, monitor, extract, index, or analyse the Service or its content.

This restriction includes the use of:

  • crawlers, spiders, bots, scrapers, or automated browsing tools;

  • data-mining or text-mining systems;

  • automated article, image, comment, profile, or metadata extraction;

  • dataset creation;

  • systematic archiving or republication;

  • machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model training;

  • retrieval-augmented generation databases;

  • model evaluation or benchmarking datasets; and

  • services that reproduce, summarise, substitute for, or commercially exploit ThatFeed content at scale.

Automated access is permitted only where:

  1. ThatFeed has provided prior written authorisation;

  2. the access complies with all conditions stated in that authorisation;

  3. the access complies with applicable technical instructions and restrictions; and

  4. the access does not interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

General search-engine indexing may be permitted to the extent allowed by ThatFeed’s technical instructions, including applicable robots directives.

No failure by ThatFeed to block automated access constitutes consent to that access.

8. Intellectual-property rights

The Service and its content may include articles, reports, headlines, graphics, photographs, illustrations, videos, audio, branding, logos, databases, software, page designs, and other materials (“ThatFeed Content”).

Unless otherwise stated, ThatFeed Content is owned by ThatFeed or used under licence from its respective owners. It is protected by copyright, trademark, database-right, and other applicable laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you must not:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit ThatFeed Content;

  • modify ThatFeed Content or create derivative works from it;

  • remove copyright, attribution, trademark, or proprietary notices;

  • frame or mirror a substantial part of the Service;

  • create a competing publication, database, feed, or service using ThatFeed Content;

  • use ThatFeed branding in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation; or

  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of ThatFeed Content or any associated intellectual-property rights to you.

Third-party names, trademarks, images, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

9. User Content

“User Content” means any content submitted, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available by a user through the Service. This may include comments, profile information, images, captions, messages, links, and other communications.

You retain ownership of any intellectual-property rights you hold in your User Content.

By submitting User Content through public or community-facing parts of the Service, you grant ThatFeed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, display, publish, distribute, and otherwise use that User Content as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate and provide the Service;

  • display the User Content to other users;

  • moderate, review, or enforce these Terms;

  • maintain, secure, improve, and promote the Service; and

  • create technical copies, backups, previews, thumbnails, or differently formatted versions.

This licence continues for as long as the User Content is available through the Service and for a reasonable period afterward in backups, legal records, cached copies, or where continued retention is otherwise permitted or required by law.

For private messages, you grant ThatFeed only the rights reasonably necessary to transmit, store, secure, moderate where permitted, and otherwise operate the messaging service in accordance with the Privacy Notice and applicable law.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own your User Content or have all permissions necessary to submit it;

  • your User Content does not infringe another person’s rights;

  • any person identifiable in an uploaded image has provided any consent required by law;

  • your User Content is not confidential information that you are prohibited from disclosing; and

  • ThatFeed’s permitted use of your User Content under these Terms will not violate another person’s rights.

You remain responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of posting or transmitting it.

10. User-content standards

You must not submit User Content that:

  • is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, defamatory, or deliberately deceptive;

  • promotes violence, criminal conduct, or dangerous illegal activity;

  • contains harassment, bullying, hate speech, or targeted abuse;

  • sexually exploits or endangers a child;

  • contains intimate or sexual imagery shared without valid consent;

  • contains another person’s sensitive or private information without authorisation;

  • infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;

  • contains malicious code or harmful files;

  • constitutes spam or unauthorised advertising;

  • falsely presents manipulated or synthetic media as authentic where that presentation is materially misleading;

  • is unrelated or disruptive to the discussion in which it is posted; or

  • otherwise violates the Community Guidelines.

Additional requirements and examples may be contained in the Community Guidelines.

11. Images and media uploads

When uploading an image or other media, you must have the legal right to upload and share it.

You must not upload:

  • copyrighted media without permission or another lawful basis;

  • private images of another person without appropriate consent;

  • images that disclose confidential or sensitive personal information;

  • manipulated images intended to deceive users about a material fact;

  • graphic, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited material; or

  • files containing malicious or hidden executable content.

ThatFeed may resize, compress, crop, convert, or create thumbnails of uploaded media as reasonably necessary to operate the Service.

12. Comments and private messages

Comments and private messages represent the views of their respective authors. They do not necessarily represent the views of ThatFeed.

Although private messages are not ordinarily displayed publicly, you should not use the messaging service to transmit information that you cannot safely disclose online.

Internet communications may be subject to security risks. ThatFeed does not guarantee that private messages will always be confidential, uninterrupted, delivered successfully, or immune from unauthorised access.

ThatFeed may investigate messages where reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to a report or complaint;

  • protect a user or the public;

  • prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats;

  • enforce these Terms; or

  • comply with applicable law or a valid legal request.

Any access to or handling of messages will be governed by the Privacy Notice and applicable law.

13. Moderation

ThatFeed may, but is not required to, review or monitor User Content.

We may remove, restrict, hide, label, edit for formatting, or refuse to publish User Content where we reasonably believe that it:

  • violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines;

  • creates legal, safety, security, or reputational risk;

  • infringes another person’s rights;

  • is spam, misleading, or irrelevant;

  • disrupts the operation of the Service; or

  • is otherwise unsuitable for the Service.

We may also limit commenting or messaging functions, close discussions, apply automated anti-abuse measures, or restrict interactions between users.

The fact that content remains available does not mean ThatFeed endorses it or has determined that it complies with these Terms.

14. Reports and intellectual-property complaints

Users may report content or conduct that they believe violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines.

A report should include enough information for ThatFeed to identify the relevant content, account, or conduct and understand the basis of the complaint.

Copyright or other intellectual-property complaints should include:

  • identification of the protected work or right;

  • identification and location of the allegedly infringing material;

  • the complainant’s contact information;

  • an explanation of the complainant’s rights in the material;

  • a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorised; and

  • any other information reasonably required under applicable law.

Reports and legal notices may be sent to [email protected].

Submitting a knowingly false or misleading complaint may have legal consequences.

15. Suspension and termination

ThatFeed may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account or access to the Service where we reasonably believe that:

  • these Terms or the Community Guidelines have been violated;

  • the account presents a security, fraud, legal, or safety risk;

  • suspension is necessary to protect ThatFeed, another user, or a third party;

  • we are required to do so by law or a valid legal request; or

  • continued operation of the account or feature is no longer reasonably practicable.

Where appropriate, ThatFeed may take action without prior notice.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Account-deletion options, where available, are subject to the Privacy Notice and any retention required or permitted by law.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including provisions concerning intellectual property, licences, disclaimers, liability, and disputes—will remain in effect.

16. Editorial and informational disclaimer

ThatFeed publishes news and general informational content. Although we aim to provide useful and accurate information, we do not guarantee that every article, forecast, report, image, comment, or other item will be complete, current, or error-free.

Weather and environmental conditions can change quickly. ThatFeed is not an emergency-alert service and should not be your sole source for severe-weather warnings, evacuation instructions, disaster information, or other safety-critical decisions.

You should consult the appropriate national or local meteorological agency, emergency-management authority, scientific institution, healthcare professional, or other qualified source where circumstances require authoritative or professional guidance.

Science, health, environmental, and nature-related content is provided for general information and does not constitute medical, scientific, legal, financial, engineering, emergency, or other professional advice.

17. Corrections and updates

News and scientific information may develop over time. ThatFeed may correct, clarify, update, reframe, or remove content without notice.

The original publication date, update date, headline, summary, categorisation, or presentation of content may change as further information becomes available.

18. External websites and third-party services

The Service may contain links, embeds, advertisements, feeds, or other material provided by third parties.

ThatFeed does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, content, products, security practices, privacy practices, or availability.

A link or reference does not necessarily imply endorsement.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party’s terms and policies and is at your own risk.

19. Availability and changes to the Service

ThatFeed may add, remove, suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the Service will always be available;

  • access will be uninterrupted or error-free;

  • all features will remain available;

  • content will remain online indefinitely; or

  • defects or errors will always be corrected.

Maintenance, security incidents, technical failures, third-party outages, legal requirements, or events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

20. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

ThatFeed disclaims all warranties, representations, and conditions not expressly stated in these Terms, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ThatFeed will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss arising from or connected with:

  • your access to or use of the Service;

  • your inability to access or use the Service;

  • reliance on content, forecasts, comments, messages, or third-party material;

  • the conduct or content of another user;

  • unauthorised access to or alteration of content or communications;

  • loss of data, opportunity, revenue, profit, goodwill, or reputation; or

  • malware, technical failures, interruptions, or external services.

ThatFeed does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

Because some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations, some of the above provisions may not apply to you.

22. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold ThatFeed harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from:

  • your User Content;

  • your unlawful use of the Service;

  • your material violation of these Terms; or

  • your infringement of another person’s rights.

This obligation does not apply to the extent that a claim resulted from ThatFeed’s own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach of these Terms.

23. Changes to these Terms

ThatFeed may update these Terms from time to time.

When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on the Service and its effective date will be revised.

Where required by law or where a change materially affects registered users’ rights, ThatFeed may provide additional notice through the Service, by email, or through another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

24. Applicable law and disputes

ThatFeed has not designated a contractual governing law or exclusive court jurisdiction in these Terms.

These Terms and any dispute connected with the Service will therefore be subject to the laws and jurisdiction that apply under applicable legal rules.

Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of mandatory rights or protections available under the laws of the consumer’s country of residence.

Before commencing formal proceedings, you and ThatFeed are encouraged to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other party and providing a reasonable description of the issue and the requested resolution.

25. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted or, where necessary, severed. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

ThatFeed’s failure to enforce a provision does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without ThatFeed’s prior written consent. ThatFeed may transfer its rights and obligations where reasonably necessary in connection with a reorganisation, transfer of the Service, or establishment of a legal operating entity, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with the policies incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and ThatFeed concerning the Service.

Section headings are provided for convenience and do not affect interpretation.

Words such as “including” and “includes” mean “including without limitation.”
