Anniversary Xbox controller delivered in wet and damaged box – and it's not an isolated case

X user Eden0032 complained about the delivery of the Xbox 25th anniversary controller. According to the buyer, the device from British retailer Argos arrived soaking wet and damaged.

My day's ruined...

The controller showed up in a small grey bag with no protection whatsoever, the buyer said. He added that Argos and Currys have been sloppy lately when packing smaller electronics.

Other users in the comments said the problem is systemic and nothing can be done about it. Here is an example from another user:

This is what happens when you shop at Argos.

I got the E-Day controller from Currys and they did the same thing – the left side of my box was completely damaged.

Argos reps have not responded to the post. The buyer plans to seek compensation, especially if the controller itself turns out to be damaged.

A neighboring post is about Walmart and how its order handling got mixed up. Instead of the anniversary controller, a gamer received something else entirely:

That one is not an isolated case either.
