Leon Kennedy appears to be wearing a wedding ring in Resident Evil Requiem, and fans are losing their minds

*Resident Evil Requiem* dropped a detail that has fans spiraling: Leon Kennedy appears to be wearing a wedding ring. Sharp-eyed players on Reddit were among the first to notice, and the internet has been debating the identity of his mystery spouse ever since.

Technically, this proves nothing. Leon has always had a certain fashion sensibility – the man has been running the same haircut for nearly three decades, and it was only really in style for about a year back in 1998. The ring could just be another accessory.

Except Capcom doesn't really do things by accident when it comes to character design. Leon has never worn any rings in previous entries in the series, so this feels like a deliberate choice.

The big question now is who he married. The usual suspects include Claire Redfield, Ada Wong, and Ingrid Hunnigan. A vocal portion of the fanbase is convinced it's Chris Redfield – "We all know it's Chris," as one Redditor put it. Others are throwing out Helena Harper from Resident Evil 6.

Whatever the answer turns out to be, a detail like this could carry real emotional weight in *Resident Evil Requiem* – which looks to be one of the more meaningful chapters in Leon's story.

*Resident Evil Requiem* is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
