Avengers: Doomsday allegedly leaked online in 4K three months before premiere

Social media is buzzing with claims that Avengers: Doomsday leaked online in its entirety three months before hitting theaters.

X users claim the film is available in 2160p resolution, with one distributor supposedly holding a complete copy. Nobody has confirmed anything yet, and Marvel hasn't commented on the situation, so this remains firmly in rumor territory.

Insider MyTimeToShineHello was among the first to post about the possible leak.

The same account posted a clip supposedly pulled from the film, showing a destroyed Sentinel with glowing green elements. The insider captioned the video with a simple question asking whether it's real. Insider Daniel RPK backed up the leak rumors as well.

The clearest image from the alleged leak shows Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. The villain stands center frame, hooded, arms spread wide. Two battle-damaged Sentinels flank him on either side, with Earth hanging behind him against a burning sky.

The shot echoes the ending of the trailer shown at D23, where Doom blocks Stormbreaker, throws Thor back with green energy, and raises the Sentinels while declaring "Hell answers to me, for I am Doom."

Any leak tied to Doomsday inevitably raises the question of AI generation. The Hive detector put the odds of AI generation for the Doom image at 0%, along with a 0% chance of deepfake.

The Blue Minutes account claims the film itself is circulating in private Telegram channels.

One user replied in the comments claiming to have already watched the movie.

Ratings and viral posts don't prove anything on their own, but earlier Doomsday leaks have a track record worth noting. Costume photos that circulated for months turned out to be genuine once Disney started issuing takedown requests. A June clip showing Doom and the Sentinels attacking the X-Men met the same fate.

If this leak turns out to be real, whoever distributed it could face serious consequences. The last time a complete Marvel movie leaked online before release, the FBI got involved, and the person who uploaded it ended up in federal prison. That was X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which leaked back in 2009.

Amid the rumors, director and editor Robert Meyer Burnett stated that the Avengers: Endgame re-release will include a new scene featuring Hulk and Doctor Doom. Asked whether he'd seen the leaked copy, he responded by describing that scene instead.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere on December 18.
