Players spend as much time in Roblox as in PlayStation, Steam, and Fortnite combined
Analyst Matthew Ball's new report revealed the true scale of the Roblox phenomenon – the platform has reached engagement levels that rival the biggest names in gaming.
According to the report, by the end of 2024, daily active users (DAUs) on Roblox outnumbered those on every major console platform, including PlayStation. A year later, DAUs climbed another 69%.
The most striking statistic concerns average monthly engagement. In 2025, players spent around 10.3 billion hours per month in Roblox – roughly the same as PlayStation, Steam, and Fortnite put together. In other words, time spent in Roblox was more than double that of PlayStation over the course of 2025.
PlayStation's figures in the report are based on 2024 data, though it's unlikely anything changed dramatically in 2025.
Individual games within Roblox are now competing with some of the biggest standalone titles. Fortnite generates around 0.86 billion average monthly hours of engagement, while Grow a Garden clocked around 0.71 billion hours over 10 months – higher than the combined total for Blizzard Entertainment's entire software lineup, which sits at approximately 0.69 billion hours, according to the report.
