Three pilots in No Man's Sky crashed into a mountain in perfect sync and now the community wants a Top Gear sitcom about their adventures

A No Man's Sky player going by Verratic shared a video that instantly became a meme among the game's fanbase. The clip shows three NPC pilots confidently flying in formation. Bravo. Proudly... until they slam their noses straight into a mountainside. Instead of exploding or at least changing course in advance, the ships stubbornly keep bumping into the obstacle, as if trying to pass through it by sheer force of will.

After several seconds of helpless flailing, the squadron somehow manages to fly around the mountain, barely maintaining formation. The entire maneuver looks like the pilots simultaneously got distracted by their phones or decided to test the durability of local geology.

Reddit commenters immediately dubbed the trio a space version of Top Gear, imagining dialogue like "Hammond, you idiot!" and "CLARKSON!!". One user suggested the name "No Man's Gear" for a hypothetical sitcom, where Hammond loses his multitool, Jeremy haggles with Vy'keen, and James travels 615,000 light years in a Dacia Sandero.

Other players noted that NPCs in No Man's Sky usually just fly through mountains, ignoring physics. Encountering ships that actually collide with terrain is rare, which makes the moment even funnier – especially considering all three pilots crashed in perfect synchronization, as if they had rehearsed the stunt.
