Wolfenstein 3 leak suggests the story centers on a Ukrainian orphan girl

It looks like the long-awaited follow-up to the iconic shooter series is finally moving forward. MP1st has uncovered a casting call tied to a project codenamed "Valkyrie" — which appears to be MachineGames' internal name for Wolfenstein 3 during development.

Two names are attached to the project, both veterans of the studio: performance director Tom Keegan and casting director Emily Schweber. Keegan previously helmed performance work on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which suggests a strong focus on narrative craft and acting quality.

According to the casting documents, the story revolves around a new character named Sofiya — a Ukrainian orphan between 8 and 11 years old who forms a close bond with William Blazkowicz, the franchise's longtime protagonist. She's described as a child traumatized by war, leaving her distrustful of others, though the documents characterize her as a resilient survivor capable of enduring the harshest conditions.

The same documents indicate that performance capture is set to begin in April, with principal shooting planned for later in 2026 and continuing into 2027.

MachineGames' interest in continuing the series was never really a secret. Studio director Jerk Gustafsson said earlier this month that, while he wouldn't comment on a release timeline for the third entry, the studio never considered the franchise finished.
