Songs of Conquest reveals Yulan faction DLC coming in June

Swedish studio Lavapotion officially announced Yulan – the third major faction DLC for Songs of Conquest. Following Vanir and Roots, the game will receive another full faction in June 2026.

Yulan introduces fractured lands where beauty meets conflict, shaped by the rivalries of three great houses: Li, Sheng, and Xuan. From enchanted forests to hidden ruins – beasts roam the lands, farmers toil in the fields, and Seekers delve into the secrets of Essence.

At the heart of the DLC is a new campaign spanning three maps, telling an epic story of reunion and survival.

The expansion adds eight new unit types with multiple upgrade paths reflecting the houses they serve. Players can pledge allegiance to Li (Order), Sheng (Creation), or Xuan (Arcana). This choice determines not only the Essence they command, but also unit abilities, stats, and battlefield roles.

Among the new forces: Conscripts – basic infantry fighting beneath their chosen house's banners, Grenadiers – soldiers wielding clay bombs while bolstering army morale with house drums, Tian – dragon-like creatures loyal to their human masters, Yi – master archers empowered by their house's Essence, and Seekers – scholars of Essence who risk transformation into fearsome Transcendents. Should the houses require even greater strength, mercenary Riders, their fox-like Hu companions, and the legendary Feng may answer the call.

Yulan includes five new Conquest maps designed to showcase the faction's strengths and the region's unique terrain. From house conflicts to invasions of Arleon and defense of Yulan's homelands – each map provides new challenges.

The expansion introduces a new biome featuring forests, vast plains, ancient ruins, and lurking dangers. Yulan's landscapes are full of mystery and atmosphere, inviting exploration and discovery.

Yulan is scheduled to release in June. The DLC is now available to wishlist on Steam.
