Blizzard will raise the shard limit in Diablo 4 by 99 times after player complaints, but fans think it's too late

Blizzard listened to the Diablo 4 community and raised the maximum stack size of Prime Evil Splinters from 1 to 99. The change goes live on October 28. Many players feel the developers ignored the problem for far too long, though.

The news surfaced on Reddit, where a user posted a screenshot of the latest patch notes. They state that the storage limit for Prime Evil Splinters will go up from one item to 99.

Prime Evil Splinters arrived in Season 15 and let players harness the powers of the Primal Evils. Until now, each type of splinter took up its own inventory slot, and holding more than one of each was impossible. That was especially annoying for players who spend a lot of time in the endgame and use these consumables regularly.

Some even came up with a clunky workaround for storing splinters. It won't be needed anymore.

The community reaction was far from enthusiastic, though. Many Reddit users think Blizzard made the change too late.

Great. They waited until most players quit the game in disgust.

It's too late already.

Thanks, but too little and too late!

Some players even saw the limit as a technical bug in Season 15.
