No Rest for the Wicked will get 24 classes and 362 skills in the release version

Moon Studios revealed new details about the full 1.0 version of No Rest for the Wicked. The biggest change is a reworked class system, where a character archetype depends on the weapon of choice and abilities from different specializations can be mixed together.

A spear, for example, turns the hero into a dragoon focused on ranged attacks, while a dagger opens the way to playing as a stealth-based assassin. Each archetype has unique traits that unlock as players progress.

These traits go into a collection and can be slotted into attack, defense, and two support ability slots.

In total, the developers prepared 24 classes and 362 skills. Hybrid builds are possible too, such as a speed-focused mix of dragoon and assassin, or a combination of barbarian, crusader, and berserker built around heavy two-handed attacks.

Version 1.0 also adds six factions, each with its own storyline and quests. Joining them unlocks extra content, including unique merchants and locations.

Traditional attribute points give way to a system of cores. Players can unlock them to boost health, stamina, and focus, while rarer ones grant extra effects, from vampirism to faster attack speed and better luck. The limit on equipped cores can be exceeded if desired, but the character takes additional damage in return.

According to Moon Studios, version 1.0 will be roughly twice the size of the current build. Expect more areas, an expanded main city, a more varied roster of enemies and bosses, and an updated loot system.

The game has been in early access since 2024 and comes from the developers of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 launches in March 2027 on PC and PS5 with crossplay support. The action RPG will arrive later on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
