Players promised to kill the GTA 6 streamer in every possible way over the next 20 years

The NPC streamer from the trunk, shown off in the half-hour GTA 6 demonstration, has spent the past few days turning into the most wanted target among future players of the game.

A thread promising to kill this character by every method possible over the next twenty years has racked up hundreds of replies, with players competing to outdo each other in creativity. The list so far includes feeding him to alligators, tossing him into a zoo lion enclosure, blowing up the car with the trunk contents still inside, backing off a cliff, and slamming the brakes during a police chase.

Comparisons came fast. People likened him to the Adoring Fan from Oblivion, who players have been chucking off cliffs for decades, and to Nazeem from Skyrim, whose Cloud District line turned into a meme. Others brought up the suffragette from Red Dead Redemption 2, who campaigned for women voting rights and ended up dying a thousand deaths across YouTube compilations.

The community biggest technical question is whether the game will even let players kill him. Given the context of the scene, this looks like a story NPC tied to a side mission, and Rockstar traditionally either makes such characters invincible or fails the mission on their death. Some players have already decided a failed mission is a price worth paying.

A more interesting scenario came from those hoping for actual consequences instead of a plain error message. In their version, killing the streamer during a live broadcast would raise the wanted level and trigger local news and social media coverage instead of just reloading a checkpoint. That would tie neatly into a reputation system too, where helping film content and killing the host would produce opposite results.

Only on one platform does the question seem settled already. PC players pointed out that character mortality there comes down to mods anyway, and modders tend to rip models out of the game within days of release. Console versions will have to wait for whatever official mechanics Rockstar builds in.

Recognition of the character turned out to be mixed. A good chunk of the audience immediately clocked him as a caricature of a specific Kick streamer, while the rest of the discussion was people asking who he was supposed to be in the first place.

The real streamer behind the character is only getting extra attention out of all this, and he has already said he sees the appearance in the game as an honor.

GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series. A PC version has not been announced yet.
