You can live for free in Hawaii if you take care of rescued pigs for 20 hours a week

If you've been dreaming of free accommodation in Hawaii, one pig sanctuary is looking for workers and will put you up for a few months. Seriously.

Plenty of people across the globe toy with the idea of quitting their job and going travelling. Of those who actually make it happen, some have the finances to splash out on a luxury trip, while others couchsurf and work along the way.

Across the globe, there are plenty of different places that will put you up with free accommodation, provided you do some work for them.

That is the case in Hawaii with Selah's Pig Sanctuary in Keaau. It is a safe haven for abandoned pigs, and they are always looking for volunteers, while giving you plenty of time to explore the island as well.

As pointed out by This Is Money on Instagram, the sanctuary regularly recruits new volunteers to come and help care for the rescued pigs.

They will put you up in a cabin on the sanctuary grounds, complete with electricity and Wi-Fi, and you won't have to pay for it. You simply have to commit 20 hours a week to helping them for at least a few months.

The only catch is that you will have to pay to get there and cover your own expenses. But it is at least a lot cheaper than trying to rent a place in Hawaii for that long a period of time.
