Spider-Noir villain art revealed – Sandman, Electro, and more spotted on festival passes

New character art for Spider-Noir has unexpectedly revealed a whole gallery of villains the show's hero will be facing off against. The images surfaced on weekend and day passes for CCXP, taking place in Mexico City this April.

The promotional materials feature several characters: Sandman, Silvermane, Electro, Black Cat, and a mystery figure whose identity hasn't been revealed yet. While Sandman and Electro have shown up in Spider-Man films before, this marks the first live-action appearance for both Silvermane and Black Cat – the mob boss played by Brendan Gleeson and the underworld nightclub singer portrayed by Li Jun Li. Jack Huston and Joe Massingill are taking on Sandman and Electro respectively.

At the center of it all is Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, AKA the Spider – an older, alternate version of Spider-Man living in 1930s New York City. He's a jaded private detective who reluctantly puts the suit back on after a personal tragedy. Cage described his approach to the role: "For me, this character was 70 percent Bogart, and 30 percent Bugs Bunny."

Spider-Noir premieres on MGM Plus in the US on May 25, then arrives on Prime Video globally on May 27.
