Helldivers 2 fan offers Arrowhead $1,000 to beat the game's hardest challenge

A Helldivers 2 fan is throwing down a real-money challenge at Arrowhead Game Studios.

Reddit user Key_Complex_150 posted what they're calling a "serious offer" – a pledge to donate $1,000 to Arrowhead's charity of choice, provided the studio records and uploads a video of four developers completing a full operation on the planet Oshaune at difficulty 10, with all objectives finished across all three missions during the current Major Order.

Oshaune is a dusty, bug-infested planet crawling with sandworms that could give Dune a run for its money, and it's already humbling plenty of players on far more forgiving difficulty settings.

Yet the fan is asking Arrowhead to tackle difficulty 10 – Super Helldive, which sits two tiers above the game's own "Impossible" setting. The terms are strict: no mods, no exploits, just the game in its current state.

"Show us how it's done and how well the game's balance is. I will provide my full real information, proof of payment and I'm willing to sign a legally binding contract."

The thread didn't take long to pick up support. Another user jumped in:

"You know what, f**k it. I agree to all the same terms as OP. I will donate $1000 to AHs charity of choice if they fulfil OP's requirements and also agree to this as an actual binding contract."

Arrowhead is unlikely to bite, and the reason is pretty straightforward – a difficulty level two steps beyond "Impossible" isn't meant to be balanced or fair by design. Publicly trying to prove otherwise sounds like a losing proposition.

It would make for some hilarious viewing, though.
