Popular streamer refused to advertise ARC Raiders for a six-figure sum in dollars – but agreed for a seven-figure one

Popular streamer TimTheTatman revealed what it would take for him to go back to ARC Raiders, and the number he mentioned is impressive even by influencer industry standards. He'd previously been offered an ad deal worth "six-figures" tied to the ARC Raiders and Subway collaboration. TimTheTatman turned it down.

I did say no to six-figures with Arc Raiders, I did. I said 'No thank you'. And it was the Subway Arc Raiders ad. I said I just can't do it, I'm sorry.

The reaction from viewers was about what you'd expect – people couldn't believe he'd pass on such a lucrative offer. TimTheTatman pointed out the odd position that puts him in as a streamer.

That's kind of the funny part of being in a streamer position. People say 'you're a fucking sellout' but then in the same breath I said I passed on six-figures from Arc Raiders and people are like 'you're fucking stupid'.

He does have a price for coming back to the game, though – it would just need another zero added to the original offer.

If that Arc Raiders deal was seven-figures – hey boys welcome back to Arc Raiders and Subway, right, you see what I'm saying? 100% we're going back. But it's just for me, the game frustrated me so much – I got frustrated so much with that game, I just don't want to play it ever again. Even to a point where six-figures isn't going to get me back on it.

None of this comes as much of a shock. ARC Raiders is going through a rough stretch right now, especially for streamers, thanks to a wave of cheating and stream sniping, where viewers use info from a broadcast to track down and kill the streamer mid-stream.

Embark Studios executive producer Aleksander Grøndal recently acknowledged the game shortcomings and promised that the upcoming Frozen Trails update will reset things and give players enough reasons to return – even without a six-figure ad deal attached.
