Many cute heroines and an unusual setting in the trailer for the tactical sci-fi RPG Angelic Dark Symphony
Angelicore Game Studios released the first cinematic teaser for Angelic: Dark Symphony – a turn-based tactical RPG with a dark sci-fi narrative.
The setting builds on a post-apocalyptic premise: humanity destroyed Earth, then created immortal synthetic beings meant to surpass human nature.
They called them angels – and immediately tried to destroy them. Two centuries later they're back, and something else comes with them, something the developers describe as an unfathomable goddess presiding over a clash of carbon, silicon, and primal fear.
Gameplay revolves around unique heroes – neo-humans with their own combat styles, backstories, and tactical roles within the squad. Angelicore stresses that characters aren't interchangeable: each one carries motives, attachments, fears, and memories that directly shape events on the battlefield.
Positioning, timing, and team synergy matter more than reflexes – a classic turn-based tactics formula, wrapped in cinematic presentation.
The combat system includes signature abilities, tactical combos, and cinematic finishing moves unique to each hero.
Customization covers more than just appearance. Players can develop skills and shift tactical roles mid-battle, meaning the same character can fill different positions depending on squad composition.
The first gameplay footage shown on Steam actually looks noticeably better than the trailer.
The first campaign, called "Dreadheaven," takes place in a neo-human colony known as "The Heaven." The squad arrives on a simple recon mission – find out why contact with the sector went dark. From there, things spiral into ancient infection, broken survivors, and mounting cosmic horror that turns a routine assignment into a full-blown nightmare.
The narrative is built around irreversible choices. Death and failure in the world of Angelic: Dark Symphony are part of the story. What matters isn't just whether a hero survives, but how they die. Every decision echoes at key story moments.
Alongside the story campaigns, the game will include a free multiplayer module called "Theater of Chaos." It offers battles against AI and other players, co-op modes, PvP, chaotic free-for-all fights, and a set of maps for experimenting with squad compositions and tactics.
The module is positioned as a separate entry point for players who want to learn the combat system outside the single-player story.
Angelic: Dark Symphony is coming to PC – on Steam and Epic Games Store. An exact release date hasn't been announced.
