Beastlink announced – a kaiju game with destructible cities and multiplayer monster battles
Grove Street Games has announced Beastlink – a multiplayer game where players can take the role of either monster hunters or kaiju tearing cities apart. The title runs on a proprietary physics system called SuperDestruction, designed to deliver large-scale sandbox destruction.
Four kaiju will be available at launch:
Horned Lizard
Bull Shark
Vampire Bat
Mandrill
Each monster promises a distinct playstyle across large-scale real-time battles.
City maps feature over 250,000 destructible objects. Players gather resources to trigger an experimental bonding procedure that awakens dormant kaiju. Once the BeastLink connection is established, the perspective shifts from tactical survival to city-shaking power – crashing through buildings and clashing with other monsters in real time.
Grove Street Games isn't new to giant creatures and sprawling urban environments. Founded in 2007, the studio has worked on the Ark series and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
Beastlink is heading to early access on PC and consoles this summer. The first closed beta weekend kicks off this Friday, May 8.
You can sign up for the closed playtest on Steam.
