Fans combined Stardew Valley with Wordle and their daily crop-guessing game just hit 200,000 plays

Stardewdle – a fan-made mashup of Stardew Valley and Wordle – turns out to be a surprisingly solid daily challenge. The crop-guessing game has now crossed 200,000 plays and pulls in over 2,000 players every day.

The concept is simple: submit any crop as your first guess, and the game shows which characteristics match the hidden daily answer. Criteria include growth time, price, season, product type, and whether the crop regrows. You get six attempts total.

One of Stardewdle's creators shared the milestone on Reddit, announcing the 200,000 plays mark. Not bad for a minigame that consistently proves most fans know Stardew Valley far less well than they think.

Fan-made daily puzzles based on popular games have carved out a dedicated audience over the years. There was once a Final Fantasy 14 version of Heardle where you had to identify theme songs from just a few seconds of audio, and another Stardew-themed puzzle called Pufferdle that had you naming fish. The former is long gone, but Stardewdle is still going strong.

You can play on the official Stardewdle site, and the interface holds up well on mobile too, so those daily win streaks are safe.
