CD Projekt RED released a patch for the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Updated Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series. The Xbox Play Anywhere version on PC also got its own fix. The studio announced the update in a message to players.

The changelog includes the following:

  • Fixed a bug that made DLSS unavailable in the Xbox Play Anywhere version on PC.

  • Fixed several lighting issues that made the game look too dark indoors.

  • Made a number of other changes to bring the console versions in line with the PC version.

DLSS is an Nvidia technology that boosts frame rate through AI image upscaling. Xbox Play Anywhere lets players buy a game once and run it on both Xbox and PC. Because of the bug, owners of that version on PC could not enable DLSS in the settings.

The developers are still working through issues that players report via the technical support portal at support.cdprojektred.com. The studio thanked players for the details and logs they sent in, which help pinpoint the causes of the problems.

Thank you for sending us details and logs. We are preparing a hotfix for PC that should resolve the save issue.

Thank you for your patience and support. We keep working to make the Updated Edition of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" better and more enjoyable for you.

A PC hotfix is the next step. According to CD Projekt RED, it should resolve the save issue. No release date for the fix has been given.
