Legendary power armor from Fallout: Tactics appears in Fallout 4
Fallout fans know exactly how much power armor matters in the series. These hulking metal suits can turn any battle around, and they look absolutely amazing doing it. Over the years, the franchise has introduced dozens of armor variants, several of which became true icons of the series.
Fallout 4 just got a genuinely generous gift from the modding community – the Midwestern Power Armor Creation. The pack brings back a legendary armor set that fans haven't seen since Fallout: Tactics launched back in 2001.
Technically, the Midwestern Power Armor Creation isn't new – it first showed up back in late July. But a recent update, paired with heavy promotion across social media and video platforms from creators Hobgoblin Studios and Local Symmetry, brought it back into the spotlight.
Since launch, the pack has racked up more than 1,100 downloads.
The bundle is sold through the Creations platform for 500 Creation Credits, roughly $4.99 in real money.
The Midwestern Power Armor set comes with a full custom quest for obtaining the armor, drawing direct inspiration from Fallout: Tactics. The quest culminates in a boss fight against a fully voiced character, and introduces a new location called the Federal Emergency Bunker.
The Creation also delivers a fleshed-out backstory, a unique minigun, and a solid range of customization options, including multiple paint schemes and attachments. One standout is the Tesla variant, which builds up an electric charge during melee combat and zaps enemies with shock damage.
For now, the Midwestern Power Armor Creation is only available on PC and Xbox. Developers have confirmed a PlayStation version is coming soon.
