Trailer and four minutes of footage from the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse leaked online
A trailer and a four-minute clip from Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse have made their way around social media. The footage was originally shown at CinemaCon back in April, so someone sat on it for months before leaking it.
The story picks up right where Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse left off. Miles Morales lands on Earth-42, where he runs into an alternate version of himself who became the Prowler. In the leaked scene, Miles tries to explain to the Prowler and Uncle Aaron Davis that he plans to save his father and stop him from dying in the "canon event."
The rest of the footage is made up of unconnected scenes showing off the film's visual style, with glimpses of Gwen Stacy, Spider-Ham, and Spider-Punk.
The clip shown at CinemaCon started from the same moment, with Miles tied to a punching bag while the Prowler creeps along the ceiling before dropping down and coldly introducing himself. The matching scenes suggest this is the exact material Sony Pictures prepared for its private screening to distributors.
This isn't the first time this has happened to Sony this year. Several trailers for the live-action Spider-Man: New Day movie already leaked online earlier. Some even suspect the leaks might be intentional.
The final chapter of the trilogy wraps up the story that began in 2018. Miles finds himself hunted by the Spider-Society, led by Miguel O'Hara, as he jumps between dimensions trying to get home and protect his family.
The movie hits theaters on June 18, 2027.
