HBO expands territory for training and living on the set of "Harry Potter"

Warner Bros. has secured approval from the local council to expand the school facility at Leavesden Studios, where kids working on HBO Harry Potter series get their education.

The site currently teaches around 150 pupils a day, though that number jumps to 600 on days with big crowd scenes. The extension will add tailored space for staff and a bigger area for the children's cast and child extras.

That matters more given how many young actors upcoming seasons will need.

The practical side got attention too – improved dressing rooms will make costume prep and changing much smoother. More portacabins already went up on site this year as part of the prep for season two.

The Harry Potter series arrives in late 2026.
