A No Man's Sky player found a planet that looks like it's straight out of Light No Fire

Given how many variations procedural generation can produce, something like this was bound to happen eventually. A player going by Tijex10 stumbled upon a planet in No Man's Sky so eerily Earth-like that it immediately drew comparisons to Light No Fire – Hello Games' upcoming fantasy title set entirely on a single planet. Tijex10 named the discovery Artemis, posted the coordinates, and hundreds of players made the trip.

Artemis turned out to be a ringed paradise planet suitable for scrap metal collection as part of the latest themed update. The climate is about as close to ideal as it gets: temperatures hover around 16°C at night and climb to 24°C during the day.

The planet's estimated diameter clocks in at roughly 97,300 units, and Sentinels are nearly absent from the surface. Tijex10 even made it to both the north and south poles to capture the midnight sun effect, calling it one of the best experiences in all his time with No Man's Sky.

The resemblance to Light No Fire screenshots and concept art hasn't gone unnoticed by the community. One idea gaining traction is that Hello Games could one day add a portal in No Man's Sky that launches Light No Fire directly – a kind of hidden release tucked inside an already existing game.

That said, Light No Fire still has no release date, and it looks like the game won't be out anytime soon.
