Fan recreates God of War 2 in Unreal Engine 5 with full gameplay mechanics
YouTuber EnzoElRich YT has released a video showcasing a fan remake of God of War 2 in Unreal Engine 5. The footage demonstrates what a faithful modern version of the classic game could look like. While the graphics aren't groundbreaking, the project features proper gameplay mechanics and cut-scenes. It even includes a menu and graphics settings, along with support for DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation.
This is a fully playable demo, not just a location showcase. The creator has recreated one of the game's early stages with new cut-scenes and enemy combat.
Worth noting that Sony has already announced an official remake trilogy for the classic God of War games, which will look better than this fan work. However, for a one-person project, the results are impressive.
Despite the demo being playable, EnzoElRich YT hasn't released it publicly to avoid a DMCA strike.
