Early copies of Resident Evil Requiem are already out – beware of spoilers

If you've been eagerly awaiting Resident Evil Requiem, it might be time to go on a social media blackout. Early copies of the game appear to already be reaching players' hands, and some of them are eager to share what they've seen.

"I can personally verify there is at least one person out there who bought Resident Evil Requiem from a store selling early," said Dusk Golem, a well-known leaker and fixture of the Resident Evil community, sharing an image of a shrink-wrapped Deluxe Edition copy. It's impossible to tell how many such copies are out there, but the news is starting to spread.

Screenshots and text descriptions purporting to spoil the events of Requiem have already surfaced online. Of course, people have always loved to lie on the internet, and in today's AI era even images are trivially easy to fake. Still, there's little reason to doubt that at least some of the spoilers will be real.

Resident Evil Requiem officially launches on February 27, so you've got just over a week to stay spoiler-free. Not too long to hold out.
