Modder releases HD remaster for original Assassin's Creed
Modder QTmodz released a comprehensive modification for the 2007 Assassin's Creed that significantly enhances the game's visual presentation. The HD Remaster Mod touches nearly every graphical aspect of the original.
The modification adds HD shadows, improved reflections, and high-resolution textures. The game receives 4K clouds and updated skyboxes. QTmodz reworked textures for all buildings, ground surfaces, stone, and vegetation. Beyond that, the mod improves the lighting system and bloom effects.
Ubisoft has no plans to remaster the first entry in the series, so for those looking to return to the franchise's origins in 2026, QTmodz's HD Remaster Mod represents the best available option for graphics improvements. The modification is distributed free of charge and doesn't require mandatory installation.
