Kojima announces new modes for Death Stranding 2 on PC and PS5
Following a series of not-so-cryptic posts from Hideo Kojima on social media, the PC version of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was announced at State of Play. Beyond platform-specific features, developers are preparing new modes and additions for both PC and PS5 versions.
Jay Boor, head of publishing at Kojima Productions, shared a teaser in the PlayStation blog.
New modes and features will be coming to both PC and PS5 at launch that will offer players new challenges and rewards.
Details about the additions will be revealed in March. The first game received similar treatment via the director's cut, which added fresh missions, equipment and quality-of-life improvements for more comfortable gameplay.
The mention of "new challenges and rewards" suggests that DS2 might increase difficulty through optional missions with interesting unlockables. That's just speculation, but the wait won't be long. PC players will be able to optimize Sam Bridges' second journey as they see fit, using upscalers and uncapped framerates.
Beyond all this, Kojima has another major PlayStation project in development – Physint, which remains under wraps, and horror game OD for Xbox. The director is clearly very busy.
Death Stranding 2 launches on PC March 19. The game can now be added to your Steam wishlist.
