No Man's Sky player discovers massive organic frigate buried underground
A No Man's Sky player going by MediphorDesign stumbled upon an unusual discovery while searching for a colossal figure on an Overgrown Relic planet. Three massive tentacles protruding from the ground wouldn't scan normally, prompting the player to start digging. After an hour of work with the terrain manipulator, a huge creature was revealed – an organic frigate partially submerged in the ground.
Organic frigates are living ships that can be added to a fleet. They can be found in space, one per system, using an item called Dream Aerial. These creatures differ from regular frigates and possess unique characteristics that can be modified by feeding them various foods. A player's maximum fleet can include up to 30 frigates.
The mystery was solved when one gamer suggested a connection between the discovery and the player's own fleet. After recalling the freighter, the object disappeared – it turned out that one of the living frigates had glitched onto the planet's surface.
Other players who visited the location couldn't see the object, as the glitch manifested only on the individual player's side. Nevertheless, the community is now asking Hello Games to add giant objects for excavation.
