Bloober Team's long-awaited announcement turned out to be Layers of Fear 3
Polish studio Bloober Team, known for the Silent Hill 2 remake, revealed the mystery behind a cryptic countdown website leading up to Valentine's Day. Instead of the anticipated Cronos 2 or another project, developers unveiled the third installment of the psychological horror Layers of Fear.
The Layers of Fear 3 teaser shows a mysterious narrator by a fireplace delivering cryptic phrases.
A strange website, remosdneulserorehsoovamceyerd.com, appeared at the end of 2025 featuring an image of a bloody rose and a timer. Yesterday the page updated with a special stream celebrating the franchise's 10th anniversary. The presentation opened with an atmospheric short film featuring an eerie cover of You Are My Sunshine and puzzling visual imagery.
Studio head Piotr Babieno addressed viewers, noting that Layers of Fear became a turning point for Bloober Team, helping the team determine what type of games they wanted to create. Creative director Mateusz Lenart called the original game an empathetic "tribute to artists." Developers also announced two books based on the series – the first will be written by Marta Bijan, with release planned for the end of this year.
Bloober Team is currently working on a Silent Hill remake and supporting the recently released Cronos: The New Dawn. Layers of Fear 3 will release eventually on PC and consoles.
