Hotta Studio releases Neverness to Everness prologue gameplay trailer

Hotta Studio released a prologue gameplay trailer for Neverness to Everness – a supernatural open-world RPG. The story begins in the city of Hethereau, where players take on the role of the first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. The protagonists join the Eibon antique shop, which survives by taking on Anomaly-related commissions from the public.

The trailer opens with the protagonist dealing with a Class VII anomaly called the Hypervortex before being taken to the headquarters of the Bureau of Anomaly Control. The video introduces several game characters while providing context about the world. The presentation quality looks solid throughout.

Hethereau is a bustling metropolis where the supernatural has become part of everyday life. At the Bureau of Anomaly Control building, Oddities queue up for resident permits, while at the train station an Esper snaps his fingers to clean his work suit. On one end of the street, a chaotic chase after a raccoon spirit unfolds, while at the other a vacationing silver-gloved Butler chats with a second-hand electronics shop owner.

The game offers diverse stories and encounters with unusual characters – enigmatic shop owners in secluded alleys, high-powered bodyguards, jack-of-all-trades robotic butlers, troublemakers, and TV-headed repairmen. Players can expand their social map starting from the bustling Hankaku Street, meet members of various factions, and add them as friends through the "Bagel" system.

NTE lets players customize their urban lifestyle. They can customize their car and race through busy streets or use the Ghost Train for quick travel through Anomaly spaces. During downtime, players can visit old shops on Hankaku Street for exclusive seasonal goods or purchase a home and decorate it to their liking.

NTE launches on PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
