Larian showed 10 rarest endings of Baldur's Gate 3, including the worst fates of Lae'zel and Astarion

Larian senior community manager Aiofe Wilson showcased 10 extremely rare endings and moments from Baldur's Gate 3, packing a surprising number of unexpected plot twists into just a few minutes of footage.

A new video on Larian secondary YouTube channel reveals "the 10 rarest scenes in Baldur's Gate 3," many of which cover obscure character endings.

The video doesn't give many specific numbers, and it's unclear what criteria were used to rank the scenes. Still, the first example alone – where Lae'zel ends her life by the sword in her "saddest fate" – suggests the number of players who have stumbled into these outcomes is in the dozens.

The gnome Wulbren Bongle, first encountered in act two, also got some special attention.

The whole video is a gallery of the unlikely and the improbable. For instance, the githyanki hero Orpheus can offer an alliance to your tentacled form, with Lae'zel "frog wife" acting as mediator in the negotiations. Given how githyanki feel about mind flayers, that's no small thing.

Minthara and Astarion pop up several times throughout the video. In one scene, Minthara pays a rare compliment, while in another she takes your tentacled hand in hers to "ease the pain of not having your own Elder Brain to command."

One of the rare scenes shows Astarion getting a kiss from Gale after the wizard ascends to the status of a magical god. In the very next scene, though, the vampire turns into a forgotten zombie in the lair of Cazador, the vampire lord from the climax of his personal quest, doomed to immortality as a vampire spawn.
