Hogwarts Legacy 2 may launch right alongside the HBO Harry Potter series
Hogwarts Legacy 2 is reportedly expected to release shortly after the premiere of the first season of the HBO Harry Potter series – putting the game somewhere in the January–April 2027 window.
That's according to the Magic World Report account.
If accurate, it would make for a massive coordinated Wizarding World moment. A back-to-back launch of both projects could seriously amplify hype for each and send fans into full overdrive.
Warner Bros. previously announced a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, which became one of the best-selling games of 2023. The original title was well-received by critics and has sold over 40 million copies since launch.
The HBO series will serve as a new adaptation of the Harry Potter books, with each season covering one entry from J.K. Rowling's saga – promising a more detailed take on the story than the films.
