REPO cosmetic update has grown way beyond hats and outfits for the Semibots

Semiwork posted a video on their YouTube channel revealing details about the upcoming Cosmetic Update for REPO. The name might suggest it's just new skins and accessories for the Semibots, but the developers themselves admitted the update has grown well beyond its original scope:

"It has become way bigger and way crazier than we anticipated from the start."

On top of cosmetics, the update will bring several new items: walkie-talkies, a leaf blower, a robot for reviving teammates, and a magic staff – the latter sounds like a reliable source of chaos in co-op sessions.

New shops are coming as well, along with a visual overhaul of the existing gas station. Each location will have more interactive content and hidden rooms, similar to what the current gas station already offers.

Semiwork also announced they're working on localization, describing it as a "big task" but one that is "very fundamental for the 1.0 release later this year". As for the cosmetics themselves, the team wants to make sure the new items feel like a natural fit rather than something "stuck on top" of the existing visuals.

No release date for the update has been set yet.
