Titan Quest 2 receives major update with new centaur storyline, bosses and enemies

Grimlore Games released the third early access chapter for Titan Quest 2 titled Arkadian Plains. The update adds an expansive war-torn region where players encounter new enemies – centaurs and boarmen – alongside four boss fights.

The journey begins at Mount Olympus, where heroes meet mythological characters including Daedalus, Orion, Scorpius, and Hephaestus, god of the forge. From there, the path leads to the occupied city of Thia, seized by centaur armies under the leadership of Centaurus. To liberate the city, players must infiltrate through trap-laden sewers and light the beacon of champions, challenging the centaur leader to a duel.

The new enemies pose a serious threat – centaurs attack in small, hard-hitting groups using charge attacks and kicks. Among them are hunters who switch between spear and bow, spirit callers who heal allies, and chieftains wielding dual flaming axes. Boarmen expand the bestiary with axe throwers who also hurl dung grenades that split into smaller projectiles, tanky shieldbearers who absorb ally damage, and geomancers summoning rock spikes from the ground.

The chapter's ultimate challenge is an arena duel against Gerion, the centaur champion. In the first phase, the boss uses simple axe attacks, but in the second phase switches to fire and ice weapons, casting earthquakes, flame spikes, and elemental explosions around himself. Victory requires precise timing between attack openings and proper character build optimization.

Titan Quest 2 is available in early access on PC via Steam, with PS5 and Xbox Series releases planned for a later date.
