All Living Things indie developer delays game for the most legitimate reason in gaming history – he met a beautiful woman
Not every day do you come across a game as unique as indie project All Living Things – but it's also not every day that you meet a beautiful woman. Yet that's exactly what happened to the developer, so gamers had to wait for news about the title longer than anticipated.
Among all the new games expected this year and beyond, All Living Things stands out as one of the most unique thanks to its gorgeous stop-motion storybook aesthetic and animated mysteries.
The game draws on the mythic substance of the philosopher's stone and takes inspiration directly from The Ripley Scroll – a 15th-century alchemical manuscript. Players will encounter cryptic poetry, ever-changing hand-crafted visuals, and 12 mind-boggling puzzles.
However, there hasn't been an update on development progress in nearly a year. Turns out we have one "beautiful woman" to thank for that, as Saint Vulture – the All Living Things developer's online handle – admitted in a recent post.
Game development is going slow because I've met a beautiful woman. Harsh gamedev truth is I'm first off the boat if I hear a siren song.

Understandable. I hope you enjoy every day.

Disappointing, but I cannot fault you.
Someone else dubbed this "the most legit reason for delay announcement I've ever seen in a video game industry" – and it's hard to disagree with that statement.
You can add All Living Things to your Steam wishlist. As for the game's release date, that depends on how the developer's personal life unfolds.
