Cute creatures star in cozy life sim Animula Nook trailer as alpha sign-ups begin
LilliLandia Games has announced the start of sign-ups for closed alpha testing of its ambitious project Animula Nook. This cozy life simulator invites players to see the world through the eyes of tiny creatures. An ordinary bedroom transforms into a vast map for adventure: a desk becomes the foundation for a city, while a windowsill turns into farmland. Sign-ups for the test are available on the game's official website.
In Animula Nook, trash and household items become architectural marvels: a milk carton can transform into an apartment building, while a porcelain cup becomes a cozy café. Players will collect unusual resources like bottled sunlight or spider silk to furnish their homes and decorate their dwellings. The project's visual style draws inspiration from Pixar animations, combining toon rendering with realistic fabric and clay textures.
Gameplay extends beyond construction: developers promise deep socialization and hobby systems. Players can master eight musical instruments to jam with friends and engage in cooking. A key feature will be interaction with adorable NPC creatures, who can be invited to live in your neighborhood and even dressed in custom outfits. The game also includes a cooperative mode called Demeteor Ascent, where players team up to face whimsical monsters.
The upcoming alpha test will run exclusively on PC via Steam and will include a full data wipe upon completion.
Beyond PC, Animula Nook is planned for release on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. An exact release date has not been set, as the studio follows a when it's ready approach.
