Oblivion Remastered mod adds actual jobs – in case you don't get enough work hours in real life

Nearly a year has passed since Bethesda Game Studios released its long-awaited remake The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, but creative players continue finding ways to shake up the RPG. The latest idea – adding actual jobs to the game. Yes, regular jobs.

Let's face it, nobody really enjoys work, but the Hero of Kvatch isn't just anybody. If your hero ran out of Septims in Oblivion Remastered and you want your protagonist to earn honest coin through labor, a new mod grants that wish.

The mod, available on Nexus, lets you employ the Champion of Cyrodiil between portal closing and quest chasing. For instance, you can become a guard!

The Jobs of Oblivion mod offers taking a work contract at an inn (over 130 clients available), purchasing specialized work equipment, and choosing from multiple professions. Players can become a harvester, jeweler, painter, builder, hunter, or even a guard.

Payment depends on the job type and client. For example, jewelers earn more due to the rarity of materials they use. Painters earn less than jewelers, but their materials are much easier to source.

Completing a job requires 100% completion, but players can take breaks – workers' rights and all that. Though whether Tamriel actually has any is questionable.

The mod will receive future expansions with new professions.
