Fallout: New Vegas mod adds real-time map directly to Pip-Boy screen
Fallout: New Vegas received the Realtime PipBoy Map mod, which integrates a fully-functional real-time map onto the Pip-Boy screen. The modification allows viewing the map at any moment without leaving gameplay.
The mod displays dynamic icons indicating the position and status of NPCs, items, and interactables. Players can swap between Local and World Map modes directly on the device. The system includes dozens of configuration options to customize the map to personal preferences.
Additional features include viewing radiation level at a glance and a map border that displays player detection or combat status. Controls are implemented for both keyboard (G key) and gamepad (grab button + Pip-Boy button).
The modification supports Pip-Boy Holo Panel via the Holo Panel Map addon and is compatible with Pip-Boy retextures, including Vanilla Style Pip-Boy 3000, Mojave Tin Pip-Boy, Pip-Boy 2000 and other versions. The only limitation is incompatibility with portable Pip-Boy versions.
Configuration is done via MCM Extender and includes options for changing key binds, toggling controller support, setting screen brightness, adjusting depth of field, and setting Pip-Boy screen refresh rate. The mod can also force the player to walk while looking at the Pip-Boy for greater realism.
Download the map mod on Nexus. Note that additional modifications will be required.
