Larian released update 1.096 for Baldur's Gate 3 and launched a 30% discount

One of the best RPGs of the decade keeps getting support. Larian Studios released a new patch for Baldur's Gate 3.

The studio previously said the major content update with new features that launched a year ago would be the last for the game. So the fresh 1.096 patch isn't bringing any sweeping changes.

Xbox owners get a separate piece of good news though, since the game is now available through Xbox Play Anywhere. That's actually what today's patch is for – Larian rolled it out across all platforms to "make sure crossplay works properly."

The studio hasn't revealed any other details about the update, and no additional fixes have turned up so far.

There's been no official announcement of Baldur's Gate 4 yet, but Larian confirmed it won't take part in developing the sequel. The studio had actually built a partially playable version of the fourth game, but dropped it over concerns about development timelines.

The studio's main priority now is Divnity.
