C4SH the Rogue is coming to Borderlands 4 on March 26
Gearbox Software has detailed C4SH the Rogue, a new Vault Hunter coming to Borderlands 4 as part of Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned on March 26. The pack also adds new story missions and a new map zone called the Whispering Glacier.
C4SH is a trinket-covered CasinoBot whose whole identity revolves around luck and unpredictability. Lore-wise, he wields a mystical Deck of Kanansi to hurl spell-infused cards at enemies, carries dual revolvers, and rolls enchanted Bone Dice that summon supernatural totems. His design draws visually from Haitian culture.
C4SH is playable across the full campaign on Kairos, not just the new story content. Players who want to jump straight into the new missions can use a dedicated menu option that drops a fresh character into the Whispering Glacier at level 13.
His three Action Skills – Cross-Fire, Sleight of Hand, and Cleromancy – all tie into a risk-and-reward philosophy. Cross-Fire switches to third-person and lets C4SH unload both revolvers, with options for a knockback melee and target lock-on. Sleight of Hand pulls cards from the deck and launches them as spells like Fireball or Magic Missile, though stacking more card types makes the draws less predictable. Cleromancy sends Bone Dice rolling, with the result determining which totem appears – some deal damage like turrets, others buff or actively seek out allies and enemies.
Tying it all together is the Windfall trait. C4SH builds Fortune stacks with each kill, and whenever he empties a magazine or uses an Action Skill, there's a chance he enters Windfall – burning all stacked Fortune for a significant boost to both skill and gun damage, while also upgrading all active Action Skills.
While Windfall is active, all skills behave as if C4SH has maximum Fortune stacks, which noticeably changes how they play: revolver shots can ricochet, card effects are greatly amplified, and Bone Dice always roll a unique result.
