Twisted Works has released a two-minute overview trailer for its cooperative action game Cast Outs, set in a fantasy version of modern-day London.

The combat system is built around an unusual blend: magical abilities that hit with the physical weight of a brawler while delivering the instant feedback of a shooter.

The game supports two- to four-player co-op across several modes, including combat runs, escort missions, horde survival, speed runs, and challenge modes. Twisted Works is putting a strong emphasis on ability synergies between characters, which are meant to produce unique situations each session.

Replayability comes from a mutator and upgrade system that reshapes your abilities from run to run. Heroes have evolving playstyles, and mixing them within a squad unlocks different team strategies. According to Twisted Works, sessions can last anywhere from 20 minutes to a full evening, with no grind required.

Cast Outs is in development for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series, with an early access beta test planned for early 2027.
