Warhammer Blood Bowl launches this spring with 26 factions and a new fast-paced mode

Nacon and Cyanide Studio have announced Warhammer Blood Bowl – a new turn-based tactical fantasy football game set in the Warhammer universe, built on the latest official rules of the tabletop edition. It's coming digitally this spring to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, and Xbox One. Anyone who already owns Blood Bowl III will get it for free.

At launch, Warhammer Blood Bowl will include 26 factions, two of which are brand new – the Tomb Kings and the Bretonnians. Players can pick a team from a wide roster of races including Elves, Orcs, Dwarfs, and more, then customize and develop it through multiplayer competitions. The game also includes solo modes, a variety of tournaments, and updated tutorials.

Cyanide describes Warhammer Blood Bowl as a natural evolution of Blood Bowl III, built on three years of development following the previous release. Nothing is being cut – the game brings updated rules, refreshed team rosters, new competitions, and a full seasonal system that culminates in a yearly World Championship.

The standout new addition is Rumble, a faster format featuring 30-minute matches, smaller teams, and a narrower pitch. It keeps the tactical depth and brutality of classic Blood Bowl while cranking up the pace and intensity. A free demo of Rumble will be available on Steam from March 18 to 25.

The demo lets players try out the new rules and tutorials across two modes – player-versus-player and player-versus-environment – using pre-built teams from five factions: Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Necromantic Horrors, Khorne, and the Old World Alliance.

Blood Bowl III owners will carry over their accounts along with all purchased and unlocked content when moving to the new game.
