Amazon's Life Is Strange series casts its Max and Chloe

Amazon Prime Video has cast its leads for the Life Is Strange adaptation. According to Variety, Maisy Stella will play Chloe, while Tatum Grace Hopkins takes on the role of Max.

For Hopkins, the series marks her television debut. She has worked primarily in theater – her credits include Broadway productions "The Queen of Versailles" and "For the Girls," as well as the short film "Meek," which premiered at the Montclair Film Festival in 2024.

Stella is first and foremost an accomplished musician, but she has built up a solid acting resume as well. Her best-known TV role is Daphne Conrad in the ABC music drama "Nashville," where she appeared across all six seasons. On the film side, she made her feature debut in the critically acclaimed "My Old Ass" opposite Aubrey Plaza in 2024, earning an Independent Spirit Award for the performance.

Per the official logline, the show follows Max – a photography student who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe. As the two try to make sense of this new ability, they investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student and uncover a dark side to their town, which ultimately forces them to make an impossible life-or-death choice that will impact them forever.

No release date has been announced yet. The show is written and run by Charlie Covell, known for "The End of the F***ing World".
