Anime-inspired tank sim Panzer Knights: Commander's Edition coming to consoles in 2026

Publisher PQube and developer Joy Brick have announced Panzer Knights: Commander's Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, with a 2026 release planned. A physical edition will also be available for PS5.

Panzer Knights originally launched in Early Access on Steam in October 2020, with a full release following on May 19, 2021.

This console edition is the definitive version of the game, bundling the base game with three bonus content packs that add the M4-748 Sherman, M26 Pershing, Churchill VII, Valentine XI, Panzer VIII Maus, and Elefant tanks.

In Panzer Knights, players take command of a German Panzer platoon and lead their forces through World War II in a tank simulation that blends hardcore strategy with anime-inspired visuals. Combat plays out in explosive third-person across European battlefields.

Players load specialized ammunition, target enemy weak points, and call in tactical support while adapting to the shifting situation on the front line.

Between missions, players can assemble an elite crew by handpicking recruits with unique skills, and manage a roster of detailed tanks – each with its own characteristics, strengths, and vulnerabilities.
