Reddit removed a Pragmata subreddit for sexualizing robot child Diana

Capcom has a packed year ahead with Resident Evil Requiem, a new Onimusha, and Pragmata – a game with an unusual combat system and a mysterious world at its center. The story follows a gruff protagonist and his companion, a robot child named Diana. But the fan community has run into serious trouble well before the game's release.

As reported by Kotaku, moderators of the main game subreddit have been flooded with inappropriate content involving Diana. Things got bad enough that one moderator, known as JoeZocktGames, stepped down and created an alternative community called PragmataSFW, stating that attempts to enforce stricter rules "were not taken seriously."

That subreddit was founded by a user called Flagelant_One, who wanted to build a space for discussing the game itself – not, in their words, a place "dominated by how excited some grown-ass man gets when he sees a child-like character." Meanwhile, the main subreddit began banning users who posted sexualized content involving Diana or made jokes about it.

In response, a third subreddit, r/Pragmata_, appeared – and quickly caught the attention of Reddit's admins. It was removed for violating Rule 4 of Reddit's guidelines, which prohibits sexualized depictions of minors.

Pragmata launches April 24 on PC and consoles.
