New invisible wall exploit in ARC Raiders sparks debate over bug disclosure

The ARC Raiders community has run into another serious exploit – players found a way to create invisible walls using batteries and barricades, blocking key locations like train evacuation entrances.

As players discovered, the real culprit isn't the batteries themselves but the ziplines. Placing a barricade on a zipline rod attached to a moving object creates an invisible barrier that can't be walked through or even grenaded.

The same trick works with noisemakers, flare guns, and other placeable items. One player pointed out that the developers themselves admitted in a mini-documentary that the zipline code is among the oldest and most tangled in the game.

The demonstration has once again sparked debate over whether exploits should be made public. Part of the community believes the only way to get a fast fix is to get a big streamer's attention. The item duplication bug involving a duck is often cited as a recent example – it was reported for weeks with no action, only to get patched shortly after a popular streamer showed it off to thousands of viewers.

Others argue that approach does more harm than good – posting exploit videos just teaches new players how to abuse bugs and pulls developer focus away from long-term priorities.

The bug report system on Discord has become its own problem. One user noted that the bug report channel is publicly visible, and some players actively monitor it specifically to find new exploits.

According to the original poster, someone replied directly under their report saying they'd use it until it gets fixed.

Beyond the invisible walls, players are reporting a range of other active bugs – opening inventory while downed and scrapping weapons after death, weapon-switching glitches triggered by interacting with ladders and ledges, and out-of-bounds spots on Stella Montis that still haven't been addressed.
