Ubisoft CEO teases multiple new Far Cry and Assassin's Creed games

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has teased that multiple new Far Cry and Assassin's Creed games are in development following the company's recent restructuring.

Guillemot was interviewed by Variety and asked about the future of franchises like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry now that they're under Vantage Studios – a Creative House that Tencent is also invested in.

"Under the Assassin's Creed brand, several titles are in development, spanning both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the ambition to further grow a community that exceeded 30 million players last year," Guillemot said. "On Far Cry, anticipation is high, and we currently have two very promising projects in development."

According to previous reporting from Insider Gaming, one Far Cry title is an extraction shooter set in the Alaskan wilderness, while the other is a new mainline entry where players must save their family within 72 in-game hours. Back in 2025, Guillemot had also noted that upcoming entries in the series would lean more heavily on multiplayer elements to keep players engaged longer.

Release dates for the new Far Cry and Assassin's Creed games remain unknown, especially given that Ubisoft delayed several projects during the recent restructuring.
