A couple invited gaming companies to their wedding – only Sony showed up with gifts
A newlywed couple went viral after Sony responded to their wedding invitation by sending a bundle of free PlayStation games and a congratulatory card. The unboxing moment racked up over 900,000 views.
In the video, uploaded on February 12, the couple opened a package from Sony containing digital codes for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Horizon Call of the Mountain, along with in-game items for Fortnite. Sony also threw in at least two more game cards – one of which appears to be a sports title published by 2K.
The package also included a congratulatory card with a handwritten message: "Aidan & Kirsten, Congratulations on your marriage!" followed by a printed note reading, "Congratulations and Thank you for playing with us."
In the caption accompanying the reel, Kirsten wrote:
Thank you, PlayStation! That was so thoughtful of you guys. We've loved PlayStation since we were kids.
The story sparked a wave of positive reactions across the gaming community. It also came out that the couple had sent similar invitations to other gaming companies – but so far, Sony was the only one to respond.
