Besiege getting space expansion with interplanetary battles and medieval rockets
Spiderling Studios announced The Broken Beyond expansion for physics-based building game Besiege. The expansion sends players into space, adding new mechanics, blocks, and levels. Release is planned for 2026.
The Broken Beyond features a space campaign with battles against alien enemies, destroying their ships and entire worlds. The expansion introduces a completely new fuel system and blocks specifically designed for interplanetary chaos – including advanced propulsion and control options.
The key addition is gravitational mechanics. Players will need to create machines capable of escaping planetary atmospheres and handling the dangers of space travel. Spherical worlds and unusual gravitational fields create entirely new puzzle-like gameplay with orbital mechanics and atmospheric entry and exit challenges.
The new sandbox features a large spherical moon-like world with options to explore or launch into space to discover orbiting objects. Using space blocks from The Broken Beyond, players can spread destruction across the star system to alien worlds.
The expansion supports multiplayer with battles in low-gravity arenas and custom level creation through the built-in editor.
